- Introduced in January 2006, the iMac (Intel Core Duo) had a major change under the hood. Apple used this model to introduce the Intel Core Duo CPU which had two processors built on a single chip. An iSight camera was built-in and it had a wireless remote control that uses infrared technology. This Mac could also be shipped with a 250 or 500 GB hard drive.
